Percy's Adventures is a delightful story of Percy, a pink penguin with a broken leg, and his escapades at the Mercy Hospital for Injured Birds.  You'll also meet Marlene, the hilarious macaw who repeats what everyone says; Jerry, a mean blue jay with anger management issues; Calli, a California quail whose fears render her timid; Roger, a rooster (with a very famous relative) who can't seem to crow at the right time; and a number of other friendly, fascinating birds healing from various maladies.  Along with Percy, you will learn about Jesus from Oliver the Owl and Zelda the Quetzal as they gently but wisely explain how to be a Christian.  While Percy and his new friends confront many problems - from loneliness to dealing with bullies to stealing - elementary school-aged children will subtly see that they, like these comical birds, can make good choices that please the Lord.

This is how it works:  Homeschool and Sunday School teachers alike can read a chapter of Percy's Adventures and then follow up with a variety of educational and Biblically-grounded activities from any or all of our eight Companions.   For example, after reading a chapter of Percy's Adventures:

Homeschoolers have the opportunity to do English - including discussion questions, creative writing, and vocabulary; for Science, they may do hands-on experiments or bird studies; Social Studies offers a variety of geography lessons, mapping, and relationship studies; the Bible Companion includes memory verses, Bible discussion questions and loads of reproducible Scrapbook pages; and Crafts offers a couple of fun, hands-on craft activities for each chapter of Percy's Adventures.

Sunday School teachers have the opportunity to do Bible or Crafts as above.  In addition, the Games Companion offers loads of active running-around games or quieter sit-down games which all relate in some way to the story; there are Songs which reinforce the Bible memory verses and some new songs (often to the tune of familiar songs you already know), each related to each chapter of the book; Drama provides creative, fun drama games for all ages and an easy, full-length final production which may be performed for the parents at the end of your program.
